DMCA Copyright Policy
Whyp respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and other applicable intellectual property laws.
Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement and is accessible on Whyp, please notify our designated DMCA agent with the following information:
A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf
Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, including its location on Whyp (URL)
Your contact information (address, telephone number, and email address)
A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

Response Time
We take DMCA requests seriously and typically remove or disable access to allegedly infringing content within 24 hours of receiving a valid notice.
Counter-Notice
If you believe that your content was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notice with our DMCA agent containing the following:
Your physical or electronic signature
Identification of the content that was removed and its location before removal
A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the content was removed by mistake or misidentification
Your name, address, telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or the United Kingdom courts if outside the US), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original DMCA notice
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not file a court action within 10-14 business days, we may restore the removed content.
Repeat Infringers
Whyp will terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers in accordance with the DMCA and other applicable laws.
Misuse of DMCA Notices
Please note that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, anyone who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be subject to liability. We reserve the right to seek damages from any party that submits a notification or counter-notification in bad faith.
